Is There a Sober Perception of Reality?

Our perceptions of reality are very much dictated by our particular sensorium. The bee can see in other parts of the spectrum, and so they're looking at stuff we can't see. And they're deciding what flower to go to based on a pattern of visual information that's invisible to us. So imagine a world where we were picking up on the electromagnetic waves around us. It would be pretty scary, actually, given how many waves were added to the environment recently. Or an octopus, which has kind of distributed its intelligence. You know, we concentrate our minds or our brains in this one organ, or not completely. But mostly it's in our head.
