I strongly believe that about 95% of runners run at a heart rate, and at an effort that is much too high for the current fitness level. And also many people might not actually enjoy their running activities. I do not believe in a no pain, no game mentality. Beginner runners should really slowly build up their endurance and strengthen their muscles.
