Was Ziam, Was He, Am I I Mistaken?

Was Ziam, was he, am I mistaken? Because I've never quite understood whether he was going to be as eager to have American troops in as his successors were. But Ziam does not really spend a lot of time thinking about this because you've got to remember in time, during his lifetime, except in 1961 for a brief period, there's no serious threat to the government. And so it's not until 1965 that you have the huge conventional battle that South Vietnamese do okay and some of them, but they get ground down. That's basically the US has to commit troops when war watched out fall.
