When this war is over assuon we get out of it. We'lre going to have a brief policy window in which we will be able to look back on the events of the last 20 or 30 years and judge the policy. What could we have done differently to prevent this from happening in the first place? Not just putan invading ukraine, nato expansion, neoliberal economic ideas forced on russia in the 19 nineties. But also, how did we end up that puton, 30 years after the end of the cold war, has got six thousand nuclear weapons.? Why didn't we move faster to get rid of those weapons when we had the chance?
