Women's Conversations Are Likened to a Jam Session

There are six forms of the word in English and they all serve a very distinct purpose. We don't even notice or acknowledge that because we just blame, you know, teenage girls for all these likes and for ruining the English language. Women often perceive the conversational floor on a horizontal level as a way to create meaning and build solidarity whereas men oftentimes see it as a vertical way in order to express individual achievement. And so that's why you see this jam session style in the talk of women.
