In computer vision, when you talk about time series, it's going to be usually video data where you have something like 25 frames per second and this kind of thing. In remote sensing, the highest revisit rate that you have is daily, let's say, and most of the time is going to be weekly or every 10 days or something like this. You have time series which are much shorter and less dense than what you have in computer vision. Actually, using computer vision algorithms for video data is not straightforward for remote sensing data and you have to develop custom algorithms for this kind of data.
