The United States Intelligence Community

As part of his official duties as president, Trump received intelligence briefings from high-level United States government officials. He regularly received a collection of classified intelligence known as the president's daily brief. After his presidency, Trump retained classified documents originated by or implicating multiple U.S. executive branch departments and agencies. The CIA was responsible for providing intelligence on foreign countries and global issues to the president to help them make national security decisions.
