Coaches Need to Be More Than Just a Coach
Coaches really struggle with players emotional response. They just have not built up the emotional intelligence or capacity to handle the ess at they're experiencing in that moment. And it reminds me of this great video that's been going around on twitter of mike tomlin ou know, podcaston basically said, it's not that players aren't coachable to day. It's that coaches aren't good enough to reach those players to day. The quality of my coaching comes down to my ability to positively impact people's lives and change their culture.
