I think that most of the time somebody in a position of power is a man. Most of the time, they're heterosexual relationships with men and women who are subservient to them. But it's unusual for people in positions of power to wanna be in a serious relationship with someone less powerful than themselves. I mean, one of the whole reasons that people are motivated to attain power is to have multiple relationships,. not to have singular, serious romantic relationships.
