Albert Pike's winter clothing even though he came very well prepared was soaking wet. He didn't have a horse anymore and all he had was a blanket so anytime he walked in the snow the snow on the outside of his boots would thaw and eventually would soak through to his feet. The next day I put on deerskin moccasins and walked all day without my feet getting cold at all and without any socks.
