The Masanikian Peltasts and Their Customs
Xenophon says the Masanikoi were most barbarous people that they passed through. They ate dry dolphin meat and consume dolphin blubber for the same purposes as Greeks used olive oil, he adds. The veracity of these customs can be taken with a grain of salt, writes Xenophon.
