In 1989, a study was published in the Journal of Psychology and Human Sexuality. The results indicated that male and female students responded very differently to these questions. Among male students, as the prospect of sex increased, so did their likelihood of saying yes. For women, casual sex carries a lot more risk because there's a chance that she might get pregnant by a guy who won't stick around.
