The Hymn of Finland
The hymn got words in Finnish in 1940 by Arthur God Kostkennemu. The words are very strongly portraying or explaining what the Russian threat and Finland coming to the light are awakening from its mates. Cibélius probably never intended it to be a hymn, but the fact is that it can be lifted out of Finlandia and turned into something which has become a very significant piece of our culture.
