i think that most of us are getting to where it might be common for us to ask about preferred pronouns. But you take that much further, and i think could be an important source of inspiration for us. We should all be addressed by the name that we want to be addressed by. That goes back too. There's a long time i've had a statement of some sort about my own name on my syllabus.
