How Did the Normans Seize English Land After Ten 66?
After the battle of hastings, lands belonging to harld godwinson and those that had fought with him were confiscated. But other pieces of land are gradually taken over the course of these rebellions. Those who rebel often have their lands removed as part of their punishment. Over the next few years, there is to an increasing tendency the normans to be taking land. So proportionately, english ownership of england by that stage is practically nothing.
