The Power of Defensiveness
A lot of times church splits happen because the leadership is not very nice in a conflict, he says. "You're going to have systemic problems long term" if leaders don't learn to seek forgiveness for their sins and be open with people about mistakes they've made,. He asks: Wouldn't that be one of our worst habits when we become defensive? It seems to me that this defensiveness starts to produce some ugly fruit.
