Episode 38 covered the hunt for the golden state killer. In that episode we reported on joseph d angelo, the first accused serial killer to be caught using a public d an a data base and identified through his relatives. He was arrested in 20 18; he's been in custody ever since. Finally, in march of this year, dangelo, who is 74 years old, offered to plead guilty to the charges against him in exchange for receiving a life sentence rather than going through death penalty.
