The Dow Jones Industrial Average is what's known as a price weighted index. The number one ranking in the Dow would need to be in the UnitedHealth Group, again, the seventh largest company in America. But then you get into, well, what's the largest company by market cap in America? Apple is, oddly enough, the largest company, the largest waiting in the S&P 500. It's almost in the bottom third. And why is Apple so small? Because they split their stock in August of 2020. They split four for one. That prompted the Dow Jones selection committee to make moves. Three companies were taken out: ExxonMobil, Pfizer, and I believe Raythe
