I think my point is not so much that we should spend it just on one thing and so much as that one sum of one billion dollars doesn't come along often. I would be thinking of the fact that wealthy patrons have made possible many of the greatest works of excellence within culture. There's something about the potential for excellence that I think evangelical and conservative Protestants more generally have fallen short of whereas Catholics have been very good at this.
