How to Put a Team Together in Basketball
Density Functional Fluctuation Theory, or DFFT for short, can be used to study everything from how segregation or migration works amongst any given population. A student at Cornell University has adapted the theory into one that would be friendly for team sports and created a very effective model of how to put a team together. The model is quite general, which means it could actually change the game completely. Maybe one day a model like this could be used to predict any number of things.
