I'm Not the Innocent Kid You Thought I Was
If a child comes out as by our pansexual, often it gets under, under received. Here's a phrase I invite parents to use: "As you get older, there are going to be new things about you that we didn't know and that surprise us" Parents don't have to take it literally, but rather than saying, well, you don't know yet because you're young,. That's like so anticlimactic for the teenager. It's like, no, I'm figuring things out about myself. And like, I just think you have to honor that, if that makes sense.
