Tintin's Hair Never Drops Again

Tintin's hair originally lay flat on his head until it got blown upwards in an early comic strip and it never came back down. That's why he's got that famous stupid quiff. It doesn't say it was not mentioned anywhere in the comic. This is just the very first Tintin comic that was released. Did they do it on purpose? Was this a subconscious thing? We'll never know.
