The Future of Taiwan US Relations Will Depend on Actual Policies
Taiwanese people want to defend our own rights in the world and make contributions as a normal country. I think according to the polls, 70% to 80% of Taiwanese believe that Taiwan is an independent country. The younger generation now have been born in a democratic, free, and independent Taiwan. They are therefore labeled the naturally independentist generation. And I think this means that in the future protecting Taiwan as an independent country would become something natural with no debate needed.
