Humans, We Know What Death Is Like
Our minds work ndifferently than animals, in the sense that we can look forward into the future, and we know what death is like. And so it's amazing, in some ways, that all conflicts don't degenerate into complete, and abject, you know, horror. In eighteenth century, the limited warfare of the eighteenth century, there would be bloodless battles. Sometimes one general would be able to manoeuvre his forces in such a way that they could parley with the other general. That is the high achievements of civilization in all history.
