The Importance of Collective Action in the United States
Paco: I think that it's really hard to look at this question without looking at some of the underlying factors that have created intergenerational wealth historically. And slavery is one of those things. So much of the American economic, you know, so much prosperity was created on the backs of free labor. You think about just the Vanderbilts and all these big, big families who have had so much wealth built on the backsof free labor. That's something that's hard to, hard pill to swallow and it's hard to confront. To what degree does this affect inequality in the United States? We're going to find out.
