The Link Between Conflict Minerals and Women's Rights

At Panzi, a foundation created by the 2018 Nobel Peace Prize winner, Dr. Denis Mukwege, they are trying to help women rebuild their economic and emotional lives. A direct line can be drawn from the exploitation of minerals by armed militias, to the use of rape, to terrorize and control communities. So it has created a special jury-making project for survivors of sexual violence to reverse the relationship between minerals and women.
