The Iranian Revolution of 1979 was devastating for women in lots of different ways not least because women had participated in that revolution and had hoped for something better afterwards. The protest started after Masa Amini's tragic death, which forced me to ask myself you know how do we achieve change is it through reform or is it through revolution which actually delivers? If we are going to take the revolutionary approach then we have to have that radical alternative in mind we have to know exactly what it will look like. We don't want to wait generations I don't want my children to have to wait for that change but at least you get there with everybody on board.
