Central Bank Independence
One of the main opponents of the central bank indexes that people looked at tat then was whether central banks were on book for financing government expended, government defisits. And so i think we talk now about independence, but that literature is not quite as clear cut as it was in the earlier days. You know, literatures do go through cycles. And maybe our modern concept of independence, even, i would say, should embrace the idea that you're going to have c e and there's probably no going back on that.
