Climate Models Are Running Too Hot

Until recently people were looking at projections of four to five degrees centigrade, more warming over the course of the 21st century. So they were pretty alarming up until recently because everyone was focused on this extreme emissions scenario which is now widely accepted as implausible if not impossible. The more recent IPCC assessment report with more plausible emission scenarios is looking at more two to three degrees centigrades of warming.
