How Did the Pope Take the Peace of Westphalia?

The pope was one of the other characters that seem strangely absent from the 30 years war. He offered several times before the peace of westphalia happened. The problem was with the papacy, it's generally perceived at the time as either being pro hasburg or pro french. No one trusted the pope to be impartial and he died in 16 forty three - replaced by some one else who was a pro french candidate.
