Introduction
Niccolo Machiavelli spent years in exile at a farmhouse south of Florence. The 16th century diplomat and political theorist's work is now known as the Prince. He wrote it to curry favour with the new Medici ruler by writing a treatise on power. In 2023, his house had been invaded by a tour group for their evening's entertainment.
