What Happens to a Tree When It's Suddenly in the Vacuum of Space?

What happens to a tree if it was suddenly in the vacuum of space? A human is that they dehidrate very rapidly. With egg laying animals, what happens? Is there like an urge, or do they have a bit more control over when they decide to lay their eggs? And with the egg, i'm quite certain, not having any specific knowledge, i do not know enough ornithology because i don't know enough botany. Do the egg send signals through its shell to the host bird, or is it merely the bulk of the egg somewhere in the reproductive tract?
