How Do You Make a Top Gun Movie?
"I always knew casting is important but with every project I do, I realize how even more important it is than I thought," says director Tom Hanks. "If you cast it right, you've really given yourself an incredible advantage going into the process", he adds of assembling a great ensemble for Top Gun: Maverick. In addition to Val Kilmer and Miles Teller, there were also young pilots who had never seen each other before in this film.
