The Power of Asking and Receiving

Tyler: In some ways what the invitation is was when we engage in scripture study, we are on our road to Emmaus. It's almost as if he was waiting for them to ask him to come and abide with them. We have two hymns in our hymn book, abide with me and abide with me to Zevintide that come from that one little beautiful sequence there of Jesus now coming with them. And notice the point of transition in this story. He took bread and blessed it and break and gave to them and their eyes were opened and they knew him and he vanished out of their sight.
