What Is the Promise of Liberal Internationalism?
During the 90s, many parts of the world tried or at least tried to seem as if they were behaving like us. But I think they really bought entirely into this conception and were shocked and dismayed when people stopped buying it. What we went from was a bipolar system where people more or less got that the other side didn't see things the same way to a belief that there was a common set of values which were thrown up during the 90s or expanded.
