Can You Be an American Extraordinaryist Without Being a Redeemer?
I struggle to know where to draw the lines when it comes to telling our history. And this is something I genuinely wonder if it's possible to be an American exceptionalist without also being a redemptionist. So we have people like Ron DeSantis, the governor of Florida who says it was the American revolution that caused people to question slavery. He questioned slavery. No one had questioned it before we decided as Americans that we are endowed by our creator with unalienable rights. Then that birth abolition movements. You can't teach history that's you being used to pursue an ideological agenda.
