Birthing in a Situation That Is Still Frozen With Danger
The ockendon report found that women were frequently blamed for their own deaths and those of their babies. One husband who lost his wife was told that it was difficult for the midwives to listen to the baby's heart beat due to the size of the mother. And in another case, a mother was told that she was responsible for her death because she didn't complain very much. So there's a culture of blaming women for essentially receiving poor health care.
