Study looked at local administrative levels in 12 hundred different regions. It found that the impact extreme weather, extreme heat, was weakest in hot climates. This is likely because these people already used to hot weather. And you knows, as a new yorker yourself, you'll appreciate the benefits of good air conditioning. So hot weather is far less noticeable if you've got good a c and then finally, income plays a role too.
