The Difference Between Frames and Wedges

With a wedge, you're trying to inhibit movement. If you only have a wedge on one side, which is kind of what a frame is, then your opponent can just move backwards. And if you're on the attack, you want to prevent that. Whereas with a wedge, when you’re trying to prevent movement from your opponent, you would have an opposing wedge so that you lock them into position. Yeah. frames can be used defensively in a lot of other ways.
