The Role of Race in the American Political Economy

Three key features of the American political economy are multi-vigniew governance or highly decentralized form of governance, sort of distinctive form of interest organization and the systemic racial division in the United States. What is it that a comparative political economy framework on the US political economy would help us see? We argue that it really helps us see what we call meta-politics. So by meta-politics we mean something different from the kind of normal politics or sort of final decision making that produces policies we mean or that determines electoral outcomes.
