Ludwig von Mises was trying to explain where does the value of money come from. His idea is that you kind of regress back in time, and it comes from some useful commodity value. That's what influenced a lot of modern Austrians to think that Bitcoin can't be money because it wasn't really used for anything. Lister: We can learn that something can gain an original value just as a whimsy.
