The Future of the Internet Writ Large

In the short term, it's fractioning in a way that will be completely unsustainable as a compliance matter. Even for the biggest platforms, having different regulators interpreting risk and risk mitigation in like even 10 jurisdictions is already crazy. So I think we're headed for a window of time where platforms are failing to comply with all of these competing obligations. But maybe it does lead us to some horrible splinternet future. Maybe it leads us to some global standard future. I'm not super psyched about either of those things.
