The Rise of Little Independence
A lot of the new cafes and chains are opening in quite cosmopolitan areas, although you wouldn't necessarily know it because you can step from dust to polished marble in one step. There is sometimes no expense spared on the decor of the shop. Probably the biggest chain used to be Cafe Coffee Day. It has very much reduced in volume since the founder passed away. They've paired back some of their unprofitable stores and they're less salubrious interiors but still selling coffee affordably.
