CHAPTER

The Non Pathologizing Nature of Iphas

The non pathologizing nature of iphas is what i want to hone in on, because you very often hear the term maladaptive. What this person's doing is maladaptive, meaning it's some kind of perversion of adaptation. But my understanding, and the way that i've been able to finally find some compassion for myself and parts of myself, is to recognize that things that we view in ourselves as totally fucked up are perfectly adaptive. They're just outlived their usefulness or they've, they've kind of expired, but they still remain. If that makes any sense.
