What Have We Been Able to Do?
The district attorney is the most powerful play in the criminal justice system. So you have all this leverage. Yet at the same time, you must be incredibly aware of how limited that power is given all the other players. You've accomplished some great things around juvenile justice and going after bad cops. But you're dealing with police department, judges, state legislature,. You're dealing with bail industry. That i guess, has been the fundamental tension you've had to deal with.
