The Importance of Preparing for Volatility

Sally Kohn: In a sense, you're expecting markets to have this blow up move and whether it last six months or three months, who knows? And that makes sense. But at the same time, I'm seeing these papers coming out saying with the flat term structure at the moment, it's really, really hard to be long volatility at the moment. It sounds to me that when this happens, investors might be really badly prepared for it because what tend to happen is that if it is so expensive to try and stay long, long; we've seen long, long managers go out of business in the last 12 months.
