The Importance of Large Data Sets in Robotics
The total size of the data set was on the order of several hundred thousand trials, which amounts to about 10 million images. Kiryans: I think that robotics in the long run may actually be at a huge advantage in terms of its ability to collect data. We're just not seeing that huge advantage now because we're stuck at the smaller scale, more due to economics, rather than, I would say, science.
