The Importance of Centralized Databases in the Editing Process
Scientists often hold false beliefs, maybe citing them, maybe sharing them to each other. Usually they picked up those beliefs in a context where they were looking at a paper. And so what's happened is that they just later don't realize that person was in fact wrong or maybe a fraud In some cases. It shows the importance of tools like site. When you put a bunch of papers in there, it can tell you this paper's been retracted.
