The Case of Virginia Crawley
Francis Crawley was arrested for the murder of Virginia Moore. He told detectives that he and Millie McCaffrey fell asleep in a car then were woken up by gunshots. When shown mug shot photos, Millie pointed out Crawley's photo as the person she knew is Tommy Jordan. The ballistics report indicated the gun used to kill Virginia was the same gun used by Crawley in the prior shootings. Detectives put more effort into finding Crawley.
