My mom had a hair salon in our basement We called it the beauty shop, which is what they were called in Ohio at that time. The ladies would come every week and it tended to be a gaggle of older women who got their hair done once a week And then they would sleep with toilet paper on their hair. I was my mom's experiment and so Um, it sounds like you've read that section of the book Which was really fun to write and remember But if she wanted me to have curls one day I had curls or blonde hair I had blonde hair and I never cared I learned to go to school.
